What is the best way to resolve conflicts deriving from cultural?

I wish I knew - I am an Israeli living in the West Bank with a lot of Palestinian friends (yes, this is not unusual, by the way). My experience is that we work side by side on a shared problem (like water treatment, for example) our cultural differences are not so important. When we are looking at our differences they get bigger. In my experience groups with both Israelis and Palestinians (the case I know best) which have worked together for a long time are good at managing conflcts. We have learned to respect the other. We also have schools - not many but some - where Jewish kids and Arab kids grow up together, taking classes in both Arabic and Hebrew. Kida are a lot more flexible than adults and I think one needs to begin there. Arab teachers in Jewish schools and Jewish teachers in Arab schools would be a good place to start.
