How many NSITians have managed to get into elite B-schools such as?
Before giving out the direct answer :Even though Akshay Khanna's answer has collapsed, it is quite true. Precedence isn't a sure-shot way of predicting the future, unless you're a lawyer. Even if anyone from NSIT has attended these schools, it doesn't change your chances of getting in. If no-one has been admitted to these schools, that also doesn't really mean that you can't get in.The probability increases, yes. But increased probability doesn't always mean success. Now to your question's direct answer :Harvard Business School - No one in the MBA programme. They generally prefer IITians out of the engineering batch of India. Stanford GSB - I think there are 2. I remember Ishan Gupta who started Edukart.Check him out before GSB on NDTV's Young Turks - Video at the end of the answer. Wharton : I think there are a couple of them. There's Mr. Nipun Mehra who came to college in our 1st year, who is now working as a Director at Flipkart. Also a Stanford CS -MS alumnus. There's another one whose name I can't recall. Then there are quite a few at MIT Sloan, Chicago, Duke, Stern, Northwestern and the likes. Now, to the Indian MBA Colleges. IIM A-B-C Well, NSIT has always been excellent at cracking CAT. So much so that NSIT is the only college apart from IIT Bombay which has produced 2 100 percentilers in the same year. (2009, I think. Debanjan Dey and one more guy- I always seem to remember only 1 guy and forget the 2nd one in a pair.) In the 2012 batch, there were about 20-22 NSITians at IIM-A, which is lesser than only the IITs in number. Similar for IIM-B and C. Although the number at B is comparatively lesser but it's still decent. The number at IIM-A is decreasing because of their direct conversion of % into GPA, and their skewed admission criteria in the last few years. At IIMC, there are around 9-10 NSITians for the batch of 2016. (The ones selected this year.) There were close to 10 - 99 percentilers in the graduating batch itself, and probably a similar number in the batches that graduated in 2012 and 2013. The numbers speak for themselves. Again, I would like to reiterate that these facts and figures in no way change your probability or possibility of getting into any of these colleges. You need to create your own future here. Welcome to NSIT.Ishan Gupta's Young Turks Video
