How do you deal with a group project of making a poster in school?

Answer: You seem to ask a question on how to deal with a domineering and dictatorial manager in doing a class project and are seeking an answer on how the manager should manager for tge best outcome in the group project. Perhaps, a helpful suggestion to handle this case is to be brave as a member of the group, to call a meeting to discuss how members of the group should function to ensure that it works co-operatively and happily. Perhaps, an even better suggestion is, to have a chat with your teacher first and relate to him/her the manner in which tasks for the projects were cuurently assigned by the manager, and suggest how you feel the managerial role can be improved. As you have indicated in your question that the group manager has not consulted the group members in assigning the tasks (I assumed that was the current managerial style, right?). If so, you can propose to the teacher-in-charge of the project, that perhaps the appointed group manager should call a group meeting, to discuss how the tasks should be assigned - a better approach! This is necessary to ensure all members are happy with the decisions in how tasks are assigned. JOB ASSIGNED BASED ON MEMBERS' STRENGTH: I suggest you can put forward the idea that if the tasks were assigned based on the group members' strength, that is, relating to their talents and interests, then the project is likely to be better done, since members with the best talent and skill are assigned to the respective tasks. For example, a member may be a good artist and can be assigned the task of drawing. Another may be good at writing, and therefore, he/she could be consulted, perhaps, if necessary, be offered ideas, and be assigned the task of writing. Same approach can be used by the manager in assigning tasks in other areas. Emphasize the suggestion that the tasks can be best assigned according the memebers' strength rather than the whim and fancy of the group manager (Assumed it was so). Ask the teacher-in-charge to get the manager to call a meeting for this discussion, and inform members to voice their opinions on the assignment of tasks and why you opine is a better approach, in the meeting. Suggest that the manager's role in very important, and can be efficiently used to ensure members work diligently, co-operatively, are provided with assistance and encouragement when needed, so that the project can be done successfully. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
