Which politicians bring politics into disrepute yet manage to still?

I was upset Tony Blair winning in 2005 in U.K. by 60 seats 2 years after he lied for U.K. to invade Iraq. The repercussions had not then sunk in and the future misery was not observed and he faced a joker Transylvanian herirage Michael Howard seen by Mrs Widdecombe a respected MP in his Party as having something of the night about him. Maybe she meant closer to Draculas Castle than No 10 Downing Street. He was self appointed to lead his chronic Party but as the effects of Labour policies were seen as so very bad so a Coalition took power. 2010. Howard or Tony Blair was a Tragic call. Labour never won since and are unlikely to win having lost Scottish support and support of North Wales former strongholds and having such useless MPs in a now poorly represented South Wales. Stil chanting idealistic socialism not policies for needed jobs.
