What jobs have C and D students in high school?
An important thing to realize is that the grades at school does not grade your intelligence. It grades your knowledge. If you're highly intelligent you probably won't have any problems to gain this knowledge in short time. Smart people usually remember faster and their memory lasts longer than the average people. Now, considering this fact we could conclude that no matter what your grades are, you can achieve pretty much everything you want. Also, another important note. The school tests your knowledge in various fields of the human knowledge, while you can be really really good at one subject and fail the others, but your are still better than the other people are in this particular subject. You can use this as an advantage, it will give you an idea what you should do in your life. Let's all remember Bill Gate's famous phrase : "I failed at a few subjects in college, while my colleague passed. He is now an engineer in Microsoft and I'm the owner." Examples of famous people that had C or D marks are countless. Most of the actors did not performed well nor at school neither at college. So I would say that being an actor is a great example of a profession that does not require you to know how to solve recursive functions. If I have to talk from personal experience, most of my classmates had their marks between C and D (at was at bad school), now they have a variety of professions - from Secretaries to Data Analysts, chefs, own business in the telemarketing and many more. The difference is that the people who succeed are not the ones who have grades, but those who don't let their grades affect their motivation. (Personal quote). There are numerous psychological studies in this area, may be reading something like this article Do your A-level grades really matter? would help many people understand why grades don't matter. And final note: Sadly, there are still companies that consider grades as important. If you have to apply for a position at the company, then probably your grades will matter. In general, I don't think that grades show anything more than ambition as a child, which could differ significantly during your adulthood.
