Is it worth hiring someone to help with my finances if I don't have?

First, you're very right to be cautious, and not only because of the cost. A whole lot of money managers and advisors aren't looking for the people who most need help with money. They're looking to get paid a percentage to manage well-off clients money, or to sell clients investments that pay them (the advisors) commissions. If you do look for someone, consider what you're asking them for, and ask lots of questions about their background helping people who are like you. Ask who pays them, how, and how much. The first call or meeting should basically be a job interview. You say you need help managing your budget. If youre determined, theres a lot of help for free and for low cost, and the result is knowing how to take care of your own finances. There are blogs and podcasts, library books, video series, and apps. If you can do with any of those, even a paid app subscription like You Need a Budget, you'll get a better deal.
