How do you manage your cars tire pressure across a year when?
You manage your cars tire pressures by checking the pressure with a reasonable accurate pressure gauge (dial type, not per type) and add or release air as needed to meet the recommended tire pressure for your car/tire combination. For the record, a change in temperature from +35 Degrees C to -25 degrees C would change the pressure in a 255/3518 tire from 35.0 psi to 28.2 psi. You can check the calculations here: Ideal Gas Law Calculator I calculated the volume as 3040 cubic inches for the given tire size which is 10 wide with a 35/100 sidewall aspect ratio (height = width x .35 = 4 tall) on 18 dimeter rims. Checking and adjusting four times a year is adequate for 60 series tires unless you have a tire that loses air over time. For lower aspect ratio (narrow sidewalls) checking every month or two is better. Low profile tires depend on high tire pressure to keep from damaging the rims if you hit an abrupt bump or a pothole.
