How different is Product manager role for a programming language like?
A technical product manager tend to engross more in these type of roles. As a technical product manager I can assure that our role is not so heavily determined based on the programming language, but rather on understand the technical processs as a whole. Acknowledging when, what ,where and how to get programming information is more valuable (think stack flow). The programming language can easily be acquired, if the engineering or technical foundation is present. As technical product manager we are more like engineers with business and design sense. The only time I think you should be more concerned about a specific language is if you don't have any engineers on your team and you have perform specifically. As always let everyone does what they do best. Engineer are not product managers and vice versa. Hope this answers your question. Happy product!
